FULLER MAGNET ELEMENTARY TO HOST “TAKE OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS TO SCHOOL DAY”
Raleigh School To Welcome Congressman Price And Other Elected Officials To Tour And Eat With Students

RALEIGH, North Carolina (April 23, 2018) -- The Parent Teacher Association for Fuller GT/AIG Basics Magnet Elementary School is hosting our first “Take Our Elected Officials To School Day” on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 9:30am to 12pm. Federal, state, and local representatives will be on hand to tour the school, visit classes, and eat with students.
“We are excited to showcase why Fuller was named a Magnet School of Excellence again this year,” said PTA Community Outreach Liaison Suzanne Miller, organizer of the event.
Fuller Magnet Elementary is located at 806 Calloway Street, Raleigh, NC 27610. The event will begin at 9:45am with a welcome, and building tours and classroom visits will be from 10-11am. The officials are invited to join our 3rd Graders for lunch in the Cafeteria from 11-11:30am, and the event will conclude with a Q&A with the PTA from 11:30am-12pm. Google calendar link. The Parent Teacher Association at Fuller is organizing this event following the suggestion from the NC PTA’s Advocacy Program.
The reasons we are hosting this event are five-fold:
Confirmed guests include Congressman David Price, Raleigh Mayor Nancy McFarlane, NC Senator Jay Chaudhuri, NC House Representative Rosa Gill, Wake County Commissioner James West, and Wake County School Board Members Jim Martin, Keith Sutton, and Lindsay Mahaffey.
